It’s mid February and I can already feel the summer heat.  The heat of the sun is too strong already (I think this could get worse next month) so my friends and I decided chill in a mountain top resort – Terra Mana.

Terra Mana is a beach and camping resort located in Lambug, Badian, South of Cebu.  It is a beautiful haven perfect for those who want to laze and unbend.

It's overlooking beach view atop the hills and its vibrant green environment makes Terra Mana a great place for distressing.

Its wide area is best for camping and group gatherings like parties, reunions and team building.

Rows of camping tents placed parallel to the ocean. Now, just imagine the view!

How to Get There?

This mountain resort is located in Lambug, Badian,South of Cebu (Before Kawasan Falls).  It is a 3-hour drive from Cebu City. If you are going to commute, you can ride a bus from Cebu South Terminal. And since the place is located far from the highway, you have to contact Terra Mana first and ask them to fetch you in the Municipality of Badian. Fare is only Php 50.00 per head.

If you are on a private vehicle, you can see a big  signage “10 Mins To terra Mana” once you reach Lambug, Badian.  You take the first turn then go straight. You will see a fork in the road.. Just turn left and go straight until you see the resorts beautiful facade that is ornamented with flowers.

What are interesting things to do there?

There are many thing to do in Terra Mana. During the day, you can do go to the beach and enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and boating.  You can avail this for free. Yay! The beach, however, is just not safe to swim because of the rough sea rocks and the many sea urchins that are scattering everywhere. There is just a little portion of the beach that is safe for swimming but you can only enjoy the sea water if its high tide.

Would you dare swimming a sea of sea urchins?

You can also visit their botanical garden. Trust me. You’ll envy seeing rows upon rows of naturally grown vegetables. They say that the ingredients of their food were freshly picked from their garden.

Rows of okra...

You can also take pictures of the different kinds of flowers that are budding all over the place.

I love flowers and I’m obsess taking pictures of them…

At night, you can warm your body from the glowing and sparkling campfire or you can lay down freely in the bermuda grass as you enjoy star gazing.

Food and Corkage

Terra mana serves food for their guests. They offer buffet but for breakfast only. For lunch and dinner you can dine in their restaurant and order ala cart food. They don’t have corkage so you can just bring food from outside.

We had our dinner in Moalboal but had our breakfast in their resto. Frankly, I wasn’t really impressed with the breakfast buffet. There is nothing much to choose from their buffet. It seems like their food is only good for four people.

Sorry but I wasn't really happy with the food.

This is what I had for breakfast…  A little of everything..

Rooms and Amenities

We are a group of four so we decided to stay in their Traveller’s Inn which is located along the beach.  The room size is just good for the four of us. We have our personal fridge, cable TV, air condition and private comfort room. Although their cable TV is not working because they run out of cable credits. The boys sighed. LOL!

Our comfy bed!

Our comfy bed!

One thing I really love about their room is their super chilly air condition and super comfy comforters! I had one of my best sleep and I didn’t even notice the boys snoring.

My only complain, apart from their not-working cable TV is that they don’t have intercom in rooms that are far from their main lobby. You really have to go up and pain that-almost-a-hundred-step-stair to go to their reception area and ask why the cable TV is not working and or how can we avail of their free kayaking.

Customer Service

Terra Mana gives a welcome drink to their guests. But since we went there very late at night, we were not served with a welcome drink. Nevertheless, Mam Luz (who I think is the resort’s manager), was very accommodating and welcoming. Their other staff are also very friendly and approachable.

What I love about the place?

The view is super amazing.. You are between the mountain and the ocean and all you breath are nature’s fresh air.  I super love the fresh sea breeze that touches my skin and the mountain breeze that kisses my face.

A few reasons why I love the place:

Cozy environment
Clean and organized
High-class facilities
Great landscapes and well-trimmed bermuda grass
Free wifi
Is only 10 mins going to Kawasan
Offers transportation of guests from the Municipality of Badian
Serves food with ingredients freshly picked from their botanical garden
Magnificent view
Free use of Kayak, boats and snorkeling gears

What I don’t like about the place?

The shoreline is too short
The sea is too rocky and is not safe for swimming
Cable TV is  not working
Limited choice of food
